竹とメッキ調仕上げ / Plating-like-finished Bamboo
以前、メッキ調塗装の仕上げをご紹介しましたが、

その塗装を竹に施すという試みをしたのでご紹介します！
一見、金属製の竹に見えますが、本物の竹に塗装をしたサンプルとなります。
様々な素材をメッキ調にすることができるのですが竹の節があることで、素材感を失うことなく不思議な仕上がりとなりました。
鋳物でつくるには型代もかかる・・・
メッキは下地が金属でないと・・・
それらの問題をこの塗装がクリアしてくれます。
これからも様々な素材・下地とチャレンジしてみたい技術です！
Introduced “plating-like-finishing” technique before (https://www.facebook.com/ubushina/posts/682359511834163 ), now we tried this technique to real bamboo stick!
As shown, the finished bamboo looks cool as if a metal-made one! - though it is actually a “plated” real bamboo.
In this case, the nodes keep the original bamboo’s texture and make this unique atmosphere possible.
This plating technique can be applied to various materials - Might gives you alternative solutions for the issues such as “Casting costs too much...”, “plating requires metal base…”, etc.
